Helen is a painter and printmaker. She studied at National Art School. She has lived in Clareville for 33 years and her work focuses on the natural world that surrounds her. These paintings and drawings of catsand are purely because they were at hand and they do not move very much. The chameleons, lizards and lemurs drawings are from a recent trip to Madagascar. The lemurs have such extraordinary hands and feet which are so interesting to draw. ‘I try anddraw every day, at least something small to make sure that I continue tolook at what is here’
